Andrew Marcus joined Tempus Resorts in 1999. As Chief Legal Officer, his responsibilities include oversight and management of all of the company's legal and regulatory matters, as well as its tax and title insurance departments. Prior to joining Tempus Resorts, Andy was a partner in the national law firm of Baker & Hostetler LLP, where he practiced in the area of real estate and related business law with an emphasis on the timeshare and hospitality industries.
Andy is vice chairman of the American Resort Development Association's State Legislative Committee and a member of the association's Florida Board of Governors. He has been actively involved in the development of several industry-related legal publications, including co-authoring the chapter on legal considerations for the Urban Land Institute's Developing Timeshare and Vacation Ownership Properties. He also served on the editorial board for Resort Condominium and Vacation Ownership Management, a book published by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association on timeshare and resort condominium management.
Andy received his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his law degree with honors from the University of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association. |
